OBJECTIVE:                     An administrator position within a higher education institution where my managerial experience and demonstrated leadership ability will contribute directly to the bottom line.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

TECHNICAL

MANAGEMENT:              Perform a variety of duties related to and responsible for the expansion, enhancement, and optimal utilization of computers.  Organize, coordinate, and oversee day-to-day operations of District’s Instructional Computing Services as well as the centralized capabilities of the District Academic and Administrative Computing. Provide technical expertise and recommendations in the coordination and development of short and long-range plans for computer acquisition and enhancements.  Communicate with Instructional staff regarding current and anticipated computer needs.  Provide supervision and evaluation of staff involved in the activities of District computing.  Plan and coordinate the operation of computer labs with instructional programs.

CURRICULUM

MANAGEMENT:              Develop curriculum, teaching/learning methods, and teaching materials, as appropriate, for courses such as Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office. Evaluate and refine existing curriculum and software.  Provide technical assistance and advice to faculty in determining feasible hardware and software solutions to meet evolving instructional needs for the computer labs and classrooms.  Participate in committees to evaluate and select new textbooks. 

FISCAL

MANAGEMENT:              Responsible for budget planning, assistance, and administration of budget utilizing cost-saving strategies, resulting in reduced waste.  Negotiated and acquired contracts with several major hardware and software vendors to reduce the cost of acquiring computer hardware and software for the District, resulting in substantial savings to the District for the past several years. 

HUMAN

RELATIONS:                    Experienced in working with populations of diverse ethic and racial backgrounds.  Ability to deal effectively with multi-levels of staff including executives and administrators. Supervised over 30 staff.

TEACHING/

TRAINING:                         Responsible for conducting on-site, in-service instruction and training to utilize computer hardware, software, data communications, and networking.  Teach computer-related courses using variety of software applications.
