Contractor Resources

The MiraCosta Community College District (MCCCD) is committed to promoting Measure MM contract opportunities to contractors, professional service providers, vendors, and other businesses who are within the MCCCD boundaries or who are considered regionally local within a 50-mile radius of MiraCosta College; and/or who have a certification as a small, disadvantaged, minority, woman, or disabled veteran business enterprise.  These small business groups may be eligible for no-cost business counseling through the Small Business Development Center of North San Diego, based at MiraCosta’s San Elijo campus. The SBDC is dedicated to increasing the economic vitality of the community by helping small businesses and entrepreneurs build a foundation for success and growth.

All MCCCD projects comply with California requirements related to public works, including prevailing wage and labor compliance requirements.

All MCCCD public works projects estimated to be below $175,000 will utilize informal bidding procedures in compliance with the state’s Public Contract Code 22032.  Contractors interested in bidding on these projects are asked to complete our Contractor Prequalification for Jobs Under $175,000 application so they may be included on the 2017 list of Prequalified Contractors.  All projects estimated at above $175,000 will utilize formal bidding procedures in compliance with Public Contract Code, section 22037.  Learn more about MCCCD’s procurement procedures for public works projects here.
